All our rugs are custom made at our production facility in Bhadohi which is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. We are committed to ensuring our production facility has good working conditions so that our staff are treated decently and paid a fair wage. Our production facility Code of Conduct is based on standards set by the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), which are in turn based on those of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The Code covers areas such as pay, employment policies and health and safety.
Rug Couture ensure there is strictly no child labour ever used in any aspect of our business.
The welfare of our weavers is very important to us and we regularly check that we are meeting and exceeding local and industry standards relating to all environmental and ethical aspects of the rug making process.
